The program emphasizes both mastery of theoretical concepts and field-based research skills relevant to entrepreneurship and business management, preparing scholars to make impactful contributions to academia, business development, and policymaking. For the first time in Sri Lanka, this PhD can be pursued entirely in Sinhala, making advanced research more accessible to local scholars and entrepreneurs. Students are encouraged to have fair English proficiency for international publications and to master Sinhala while excelling in English in scientific communication.

- Nature of Study Program: Research-based
- While this is a research-based program, students may be required to undertake supporting coursework mainly:
- Advanced Research Methodology
- Graduate Seminar
- Thesis Writing Workshop
- A Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the GETI Academic Council.
- Applicants must have demonstratable research aptitude and commitment to scholarly excellence.
Develop strategic leadership to build and grow globally competitive enterprises as founders, CEOs, or corporate intrapreneurs.
Apply advanced research skills for data-driven decisions and outcome- focused business portfolios.
Influence entrepreneurial ecosystems as policy advisors, innovation consultants, or investment specialists.
Contribute to entrepreneurship education and discourse as academics, trainers, authors, and thought leaders.
Research based studies as per pre-decided research proposal
- Quantum of work and related acts of study should be equivalent to 2-6 years.
